A sampling of Tiffani’s artwork

The second I laid eyes on Tiffani’s Hippy Champagne artwork I was in love! Her pieces are retro inspired, but with a unique urban flair that gives them a bit of an edge. I knew I had to get to know the lady behind the art, so you can imagine how excited I was for the chance to pick Tiffani’s brain! Read on to find out what inspires her, and what advice she has for other ladies who want to open up shop online.

Hi Tiffani! Please let us know where you’re from and what you do?

I’m from Los Angeles and now reside in Houston, TX. I am a graphic designer and illustrator.

I absolutely adore your art. What inspires you?

[pullquote width=”300″ float=”left”]I like being able to create a world and figure out how things should look in that world. It creates a unique style all my own.[/pullquote] I just adore vintage! And I’m both a hippy and a glam girl, which is how I came up with the name Hippy Champagne. It’s about mixing the old with the new, the glamorous with the chill.I like being able to create a world and figure out how things should look in that world. It creates a unique style all my own.

What made you decide to open up shop online?

This shop is a culmination of other ideas I’ve had in the past. I’ve always wanted a line of products designed by me and with my illustrations.

What is your ultimate goal with Hippy Champagne?

My ultimate goal is for it to become a well known lifestyle brand and have the opportunity to have it sold in big box stores (i.e.: Target, West Elm, Urban Outfitters) Currently we only carry art prints, but I already have stationary in the works as well as some other gifts and home items.

What advice would you give to other young women looking to sell online?

[pullquote width=”300″ float=”left”]Don’t just put your store up and think your work is done. It is just beginning! Market…market…market yourself![/pullquote] Don’t just put your store up and think your work is done. It is just beginning! Market…market…market yourself! Social media isn’t enough. Branch outside of the internet. Pass at your card, approach brick and mortar stores that might be interested in carrying your product, look into trade shows. Think outside of the box. There is a whole world out there waiting for your to share your talent!
